CCBC El Centro is an independent, religious-exempt institution under CEC Section 94302 (w) (5) which is allowed to grant degrees in Biblical Studies and Ministry by the Council for Private Post Secondary and Vocational Education.

 

CCBC El Centro is not accredited and is not currently pursuing accreditation for two main reasons. First, we wish to continue to have local pastors and gifted men of God teach our classes. Some of these pastors – although called by God, gifted and experienced in teaching – do not have Masters Degrees. Second, we want to keep the cost of tuition affordable so that more students have the opportunity to study at CCBC and remain free from school debt. Accreditation by a recognized agency would mean we would have to abandon these priorities.

 

Though Calvary Chapel Bible College is unaccredited, many Christian colleges, Bible colleges, and Seminaries will accept credit from CCBC on the basis of the integrity of Calvary Chapel ministries, the history, and the reputation of its graduates. If you have specific questions about the transferability of units, call the registrar’s office of the institution you desire to attend.
